EGS plans a free giveaway of historical military shooter and indie strategy

The EGS game store will be giving away a free World War I shooter called Verdun from developer Blackmill Games from July 22 to 29. In addition, science fiction fans will also be able to download Defense Grid: The Awakening strategy game from Hidden Path Entertainment for free.

The military shooter was presented to players in 2015. The plot unfolds during the First World War, when the Battle of Verdun (1916) took place. Players can choose several battle modes. The developers have worked out the plot and game elements in details, keeping the historical accuracy in drawing weapons, soldiers’ uniforms as well as the surroundings, which added a special atmosphere to the first-person shooter.

Strategy Defense Grid: The Awakening was presented by the developers in 2008, when the games in the tower defense genre were very popular among the gamers. The story is about intergalactic war, in the course of which the player will have to plan the defense, to repel the attacks of alien invaders.
