Raven Software Hates Cheaters.

Amos Hodge, the Creative Director of Call of Duty: Warzone, recently gave an interview to VGC where he emphasized the team’s strong aversion to cheaters. They believe that cheaters make life difficult for regular players and developers, and they are committed to doing everything possible to reduce their presence.

Call of Duty: Warzone Creative Director Amos Hodge:
“Our security team deals with cheaters, and I want to emphasize that we have reporting functionality, we ban a tremendous amount of people, and no one hates cheaters more than we do. And when you get upset that a cheater ruined your match, I’m upset that they ruined one of the best pieces of content that I, and we as a team, have ever made in our lives.

I made this content for players, and I know that everyone on the team feels the same way. We pour our heart and soul into this project, we have 100 million users that we’ve gathered in a year. And the fact that cheaters come in and ruin the game, it worries us more than anything else. I know the security team is on top of it and will continue to be on top of it, and we will release updates.”

In total, the game has already banned 475,000 players who were using cheats, all within just one year. Additionally, the game’s creators actively purchase some cheats to understand how they work in the game and develop protection against their actions. They also keep an eye on cheat developers to ban them and their “new creations.”
