Ray tracing mod added to Doom

Ray tracing mod has been added to Doom – the shooter has become even more atmospheric. The first-person shooter, which has become a cult in its genre, was released back in 1993. However, nearly 30 years later, fans are making it interesting again with new mods.

The last person to do this today was the moderator Sultim-t. Last week he released Doom Ray Traced, which adds real-time ray tracing to Doom. This basically leads to a striking result and creates a layering that gives a more atmospheric feel.

Unfortunately, mods can only run NVIDIA GPUs, there is no support for AMD video cards yet. To install Doom Ray Traced, you need the original Doom.wad file and the PrBoom port. After that it will be possible to play the first three levels of the shooter with a modern lighting finish.
