Destructible buildings coming to PUBG tomorrow – PUBG update 29.1 (9/04/2024)

The terrain destruction feature will allow you to create shelters when fighting in open terrain, you will need a fragmentation grenade, mortar, Panzerfaust, Velcro bomb, C4, vehicle explosion or pickaxe. Concrete, cement, rocks and stones cannot be destroyed.

In addition, players can expect another addition to the arsenal of weapons and other additional content. All this is a preparation for the transition to Unreal Engine 5, which the developers promise to finish this year.

In April, the game will have the mechanics of destroying part of the buildings, as well as the ability to erect protective barriers, thus opening new attack routes or changing the strategy of defending the territory.

Krafton has other plans as well:

• Gradual conversion of the game to Unreal Engine 5 and introduction of tools for players to create various new content;
• Significant rework and improvement of anti-reading, not only in ranked games, but also in normal matches and other modes;
• Changing ranked matches by adding new rewards and “more”;
• Introducing new modes and new collaborations;
• Improving shooting and adding new survival mechanics.”
