In a significant shake-up within the competitive eSports landscape, Shopify Rebellion has announced the departure of three renowned players: Abed, Fly, and Cr1t-. The news surfaced through an official statement on the team’s Twitter account, marking the end of an era for the lineup.

Cr1t- expressed his thoughts on the transition, reflecting on his time in North America. “The memories, friendships, and learnings are treasures I’ll carry forward. Lucky to have had such great teammates, I wish them the best. Ahead lies a new chapter, a fresh team with lofty goals, and a learning-rich environment. Despite recent slanders, I’m set to reclaim my top form next year,” he stated, signaling a resilient step into his future endeavors.

Since their assembly in 2019 under Evil Geniuses, the team, save for the offlaner position, remained constant. With players like Ramzes666, Iceiceice, and Nightfall, they came tantalizingly close to Tier-1 tournament victories, securing runner-up positions at DreamLeague S13: The Leipzig Major, One Esports Singapore Major 2021, and WePlay AniMajor.

However, success at The International evaded them, with 9-12th place finishes at both TI10 and TI11. After adopting the Shopify Rebellion banner, they made impressive strides, clinching fourth at The Lima Major 2023, third at DreamLeague S19, and a commendable second at DreamLeague S21, only to be bested by Team Spirit in the finale. Despite their efforts, the team struggled at the year’s paramount tournaments, Riyadh Masters 2023 and The International 12, concluding with 15-16th and 13-16th places respectively.
