The FAQ on the FACEIT platform now features a new section titled “Concerns about Data Transfer to Moscow Servers”, courtesy of Arseniy’s initiative amidst the events in Ukraine.

Server Choice Freedom

The FACEIT team emphasized the importance of freedom of choice for every player. Now, each player can decide which server they wish to play on, and if necessary, opt out of participating on Moscow servers.

Player Data Security

Special attention is given to data security. FACEIT assured players that information stored outside Russia is never transferred to Russian game servers or to Russian companies and authorities. Server providers don’t have access to the data on the gaming servers, thus eliminating the possibility of accessing players’ personal information.

Alexander Petrik’s Recommendation

Alexander Petrik too weighed in, advising players to avoid Moscow servers on FACEIT. His advice underscores the importance of data security in the gaming environment.
