Activision will not close Warzone after the release of Warzone 2, but will re-release it as a separate game, the progress will be preserved, but they will not be transferred to the new part.

The original first part of Warzone will exist separately after the sequel’s release. So people won’t accidentally confuse these two parts, as they are two different stories and games.

The game has changed not only its title, but also a bit of content transfer from the past parts of Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard. However, both will be released and will work with the new part of Modern Warfare 2. Major updates to Warzone will not be, there will be technical patches and playlist updates.

Warzone game will have a name change to “Warzone Caldera” again, yes, yes we’ve been through this. The first season of Warzone 2 will be removed from the game, and the original part of the game will be removed: “Island of Renaissance” and “Citadel of Fortune. Only the “Caldera” map, which everyone dislikes so much, and the better “Verdansk” will remain in the game.

Warzone 2 will be released on November 16, 2022. A standalone version of Warzone will be released on November 22, 2022.
