What do we think will change in Warzone 2.0? Remember, Raven is now in charge of the development, which likely means they are responsible for the core Resurgence mechanics. The game is set to launch on a new map on February 1st.
This is Hope’s assumption, as he’s an insider with some insights:
- +50 points of regular health
- Starting with a 3-plate armor
- 1v1 Gulag
- Gameplay improvements and new features from Warzone 1, developed by Raven
- Looting will resemble Warzone 1 even more
- Applying armor plates on the move
I’m not an insider, but I’m confident they will:
- Balance the weapons; currently, it’s not bad, and there are many viable choices, but some will likely be nerfed. Sniper rifles should headshot kill, especially the heavy ones, depending on the distance.
- Expect changes to movement, perhaps even the movement speed. I don’t believe in slide-cancel, but they will surely tweak the movement somehow.
Infinity Ward is still working on DMZ and multiplayer, so it’s unclear what will happen there.
