New Paid Faction in DMZ

A new faction in DMZ will be paid.

To be precise, the faction Crown’s missions will only be available to MWII owners. In other words, you need to buy the multiplayer to access their tasks.

More on DMZ:

• Ashika Island: a new weapon case, a new boss Bombmaker (apparently, one of the new weapons needs to be extracted from him), new locked and dangerous areas for access and exploration.
• “Building 21” will also be accessible: keys will be found in the same manner as in Season 1 + on Ashika Island.
• A new event will occur in Al-Mazra with the crash of an unknown plane in the Sattik cave complex.
• All rewards for Season 1 missions and bosses, for example, previously obtained rewards from weapon crates in Al-Mazra, will not be reset, except for contraband and keys.
• Bot difficulty will increase gradually.
• Spawn points and cache locations will be reconfigured.
• Game crashes will be fixed.

It’s evident that developers are placing a significant emphasis on the DMZ mode to attract as many new players as possible and retain the old ones. Hopefully, by the time the mode exits beta, it will be packed with content.

So, what do we think about the new Crown faction in DMZ?

I have three thoughts:

– This is bad because Warzone’s gameplay has never been hidden behind purchases. Everything except cosmetics is free. While these missions are unlikely to be significantly different, it’s still unsettling.
– If this is done to boost MWII sales, I highly doubt DMZ players will rush to spend money just to get rewards, even if they’re fantastic. For the tasks? Doubtful as well.
– If this is done for MWII content, then as an active MWII player, I’d prefer content in MWII, for which I paid, rather than in the free DMZ that I might not even care about.

What are your thoughts?
