Call of Duty: Warzone plans to add Fortnite-style events

Infinity Ward’s Director, Taylor Kurosaki, has revealed plans to create virtual events in one of the most important franchises of the company – Call of Duty: Warzone. Kurosaki made this announcement during a recent interview with the Venture Beat portal. This was reported by the cybersport.ru website.

According to information from the studio director, Infinity Ward plans to apply a template similar to the one Epic Games used to create events for Fortnite. Kurosaki also piqued players’ interest by stating that the upcoming events will be as massive as the event that concluded one of the seasons in Epic Games’ battle royale, where a meteorite fell onto the map.

It appears that exclusively organic events are being prepared for Modern Warfare, directly tied to what’s happening in the game’s universe, with an emphasis on developers providing users with a more detailed understanding of the lore.

The release of the free battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone, which is part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019, took place in March 2020. The game is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. As the developers themselves announced on social media, within a month of its release, over 50 million users had already tried the new game.
