A paid version of Telegram has been announced.

Pavel Durov has shared his plans for the future development of the Telegram messenger. In particular, the service owner announced the introduction of additional features that will significantly expand the capabilities of users. However, access to these innovations will be available through a paid subscription. The exact price is not yet known, but some sources mention a sum of $5 USD or 300 Russian rubles per month.

Telegram Premium will become available in June 2022. Some of the new features will also be open to regular users without a subscription. The expansion is driven by the increasing need to increase limits on uploaded file sizes, the size of text messages, and the introduction of moderation tools for groups. Additionally, Telegram Premium will be completely ad-free.
