How to breed axolotls in Minecraft?
Axolotls are cute and friendly creatures that were added to Minecraft in the 1.17 Caves & Cliffs update. They live in dark underground bodies of water and feed on fish and sprouts. In this guide we will tell you how to find, catch and breed axolotls in the game.
Axolotls appear in Lush Caves, underwater and no further than five blocks from the clay. Simply put, look for them in any bodies of water in the Lush Caves biome.
To catch axolotls, you will need an ordinary iron bucket. Approach the mob with the bucket in your hand, scoop up first a block of water and then the axolotl itself. In this form, the monster will be kept as long as you want.
You will need the following materials and tools to breed axolotls:
Build a wall 2 blocks high around a 3×3 area using glass.
Cover the structure with a lid using glass and a wooden hatch.
Fill the resulting container with water.
Start two or more axolotls inside.
Feed the mobs fish from a bucket and just wait for the babies to show up.
