How to find axolotls
Axolotls appear in Lush Caves, underwater and no further than five blocks from the clay. Simply put, look for them in any bodies of water in the Lush Caves biome.
How to catch axolotls
To catch axolotls, you will need an ordinary iron bucket. Approach the mob with the bucket in your hand, scoop up first a block of water and then the axolotl itself. In this form, the monster will be kept as long as you want.
How to breed axolotls
You will need the following materials and tools to breed axolotls:
- 2 axolotls
- At least two buckets of tropical fish
- Free space for the future aviary
- 35 or more blocks of glass

Build a wall 2 blocks high around a 3×3 area using glass.
Cover the structure with a lid using glass and a wooden hatch.
Fill the resulting container with water.
Start two or more axolotls inside.
