How to befriend the Three Legged Girl (Virginia) in Sons of the Forest?
From the very first moments of playing Sons of the Forest, you can meet an amazing creature – a strange girl with three legs and three arms. Upon discovering your character, she will immediately run away. In this guide, we will reveal the secret of this girl and show you how to make her your companion.

The same three-legged girl that you will encounter many times during the passage of the game, is named Virginia Puffton (Virginia Puffton). There is little detailed information about her, however, as you progress through the story, you will find her VIP access card. Subsequently, it turns out that Virginia is the daughter of a missing millionaire who disappeared on this island. Probably, after some incident, the girl underwent a mutation.

Although the girl looks strange, she is not really dangerous. On the contrary, at the beginning of the game, she will try to avoid you. Players can try to kill her, but it doesn’t make sense. After death, Virginia does not leave any loot behind her, and her body cannot even be butchered, unlike the bodies of local natives.
To gain Virginia’s trust and make her your ally, follow the guidelines below. Remember that patience and a friendly demeanor are key factors in this process.

Note that you will not be able to give her orders. However, Virginia will often be near your camp and defend it from enemies with the transferred weapons.

In this section, we’ll show you how to take care of Virginia in Sons of the Forest so that she remains your helpful and loyal companion.
It is important to know that Virginia, like Calvin, does not need food. However, if she gets injured by natives or monsters and passes out, you can help her. To do this, simply approach Virginia and use the interaction button. In the same way, healing works for your first companion.

Both of your companions in the game can only die if you kill them yourself. In most cases, cannibals and monsters don’t kill these characters after being knocked to the ground. If this happens before your eyes, try to help Virginia quickly. If you go far enough, you will notice that after a while it will rise on its own and return to you.

Virginia can be useful in many ways. Sometimes she collects rare herbs and foods for you, especially aloe vera, a useful plant for creating healing mixtures. She can also gradually harvest fish or small animals such as squirrels.
However, Virginia’s primary value lies in defense. After completing half of the storyline, the cannibals become stronger and attack your camp. After completing the story, you encounter monsters that attack every few days.

If you equip Virginia with a pistol and a shotgun, she will be a great defender of your camp. She finds ammo for her weapons on her own.
In this section, we’ll look at issues related to changing Virginia’s appearance, the possibility of a romantic relationship, and building trust between you and your companion in Sons of the Forest.

As you explore the island, you’ll find different outfits for both Kelvin and Virginia. At the moment, only one set of equipment is known, located in an underground bunker. To transfer Virginia’s clothes, use the interaction menu, similar to transferring weapons.
At the moment, the game does not provide an opportunity to start a romance with Virginia. However, it is worth remembering that Sons of the Forest is in early access, and the developers may add such a feature in the future. This is hinted at by the “heart” marker on the GPS radar.

Over time, Virginia’s trust in the player will grow. To achieve the maximum level of trust, you need to avoid aggression and intimidating actions towards the girl. It is also necessary to give her at least one weapon and install a GPS tracker. After about 20 days of playing, you will receive the achievement “Chivalry is not dead”.
