How do I know if I've been given access to a limited Counter-Strike 2 test?
When you receive an invitation to a limited Counter-Strike 2 test, you will see a notification in the CS:GO main menu.
Click «Start» and download the game. Once the download is complete, launch CS:GO and select Limited Test to play Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test.
How often are new players invited to the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test?
We are gradually inviting new players to the limited test. Check the main menu in CS:GO to see if you’ve received an invite.
How long will the Counter-Strike 2 limited test last?
We plan to release Counter-Strike 2 in the summer of 2023.

No. During the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test, players will not be able to modify their in-game items, including applying and scratching stickers, using trade contracts, etc.

Yes. Please note that only users of the same version of Counter-Strike will play with and against you.

I got banned from CS:GO. Can I play Counter-Strike 2 on the same Steam account?
No. Accounts with game or VAC bans cannot play Counter-Strike 2 on VAC protected servers.
Are temporary bans in competitive mode common to Counter-Strike 2 and CS:GO?
Yes. If you are temporarily banned from competitive mode in CS:GO, you will not be able to play it in Counter-Strike 2, and vice versa.
Can I take part in the limited Counter-Strike 2 test on Linux or macOS?
No. The limited Counter-Strike 2 test is only available on Windows.
