Submarines Dive into the Fourth Ranked Battles Season of World of Warships
The beginning of the fourth season is scheduled for a week after the release of World of Warships 0.10.7. Now, in addition to the existing ships, a completely new class – submarines – will be available in battles.
This class was announced back in 2019 and underwent six tests, including open ones. But why? To introduce a new class into World of Warships, it requires extensive testing in Random Battles. To get a complete picture, the class must be used by the core audience. Using third-party servers in this case is impractical.
To avoid adding a potentially “raw” ship class to the main battle type but thoroughly test its readiness, submarines will first appear in Ranked Battles. They are most similar to Random Battles. Players will have the opportunity to prepare for the new Ranked season (which is scheduled to start a week after the 0.10.7 update), as the submarine class will be available immediately.
Main features of the new season:
Players can expect an interface update and changes to the season rules:
All battles are divided into six sprints. The first will last a week, and all subsequent ones – two weeks each. As soon as one sprint ends, the next one begins immediately.
From the release of version 0.10.7 until the end of the fourth Ranked season, all players will have access to three different random bundles (they are free). Each contains four coal bundles (100 units each), and one of them contains two submarines for rent for three days. This will reduce queues in the matchmaker and help control the number of new ships.
Updates to the bundles will occur every week. This way, you can consistently receive both coal and rented submarines.
Battles against bots in Co-op battles are an excellent opportunity to test and understand the mechanics of the new ship class before the start of the fourth Ranked season.
