Wes Anderson Supports Bill Murray Amidst Allegations

Director Wes Anderson, known for his films such as “Moonrise Kingdom” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” shared his opinion on Bill Murray, the famous actor who recently faced allegations of sexual harassment. In an interview with IndieWire, Anderson noted that Murray is like a family member to him and is also the godfather of his daughter. The director emphasized that the accusations against the actor will not affect their relationship: “My experience working with him has been wonderful; he has always been supportive of me.”

Murray first collaborated with Anderson on the set of the film “Rushmore” in 1998 and then participated in every subsequent film by the director. The exception was the film “The City of Asteroids” in 2023 when Murray contracted COVID-19 and was replaced by Steve Carell.

In October 2022, several former colleagues of Bill Murray came forward with allegations of his aggressive behavior on set, as well as possible acts of sexual harassment. Despite this, Wes Anderson continues to support his friend and colleague, demonstrating that genuine relationships can overcome any difficulties.
