According to the eXputer website, support for Marvel’s Avengers will end in 2023

According to the eXputer website, Crystal Dynamics plans to stop adding new content to Marvel’s Avengers game in 2023. The exact date when support for the game will cease is unknown, but the company has no plans for further support in 2024.

According to the publication, the developers expected to support the game for three to five years. As such, they will probably take minimal steps to maintain the game until 2023. Marvel’s Avengers was released in September 2020.

The Marvel’s Avengers game files have revealed references to Captain Marvel, Shuri, Ironheart and Hulk Woman. However, it is not clear if these characters will appear in the game in the future.

As eXputer points out, the developers of Marvel’s Avengers have faced constant technical difficulties due to lack of resources. For example, the company’s management refused to expand the development team; instead, they received free help from Square Enix Montréal Studios, which currently does not exist.
