The Stalker series of games is a series of computer games in the sci-fi technological thriller genre developed by the Ukrainian company GSC Game World. The first game in the series, STALKER: Clear Sky, was released in 2007.
The main theme of the series is centered around the exclusion zone in Chernobyl, in which there was a catastrophic accidental release of radioactive substances and a monstrous nature was formed. Players take on the role of a stalker who performs various tasks in the exclusion zone, exploring its secrets and surviving in danger.
